Chocolate Pizza

Welcome to Tasty Tuesday. I’m plucking a recipe from the Cook Like A Writer cook book for this week, as I’ve been in my writer’s cave, participating in the BOOK IN A MONTH CLUB.

I’m also interviewed on Lucy Pireel’s blog today. If you have a moment, click HERE and hop on over to Lucy’s blog and say hello, that is, after you pick up this recipe that I know you’ll want to try.

Most people love pizza.

Most people love chocolate.

Why not put those two together for a heavenly experience? The only thing missing is the stuffed crust, but then again, what’s stopping you from using your imagination and stuffing the crust with more chocolate?

Chocolate Pizza is also a favorite of Maddie Saunders, the heroine in What A Girl Wants. I swear that girl would dip broccoli and asparagus in chocolate if she could.

Kids will love this pizza and the kid in the adult will also enjoy a slice…or two.

Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 stick unsalted butter (about 2 tablespoons butter) melted

1/4 cup as Nutella spared

3/4 cup milk chocolate chips

For Optional Toppings see below

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Sprinkle some flour on your working surface.

Roll out dough on the surface (if using a round pizza pan, then roll out to fit pan, or if using a square pan roll out to fit that pan)

Transfer dough to baking sheet.

Using your thumb, make indentations all over the dough.

Brush the dough with melted butter over.

Bake for about 20 minutes (until dough is a light golden.)

Remove from oven and spread the Nutella over the hot crust.

Sprinkle the chocolate chips all over and return to the oven.

Bake for another 2 – 3 minutes or until chocolate begins to melt.

Cut into slices.

Delicious this way, or experiment with the optional toppings below, or some of

your own creations.

Pippy’s Pizza Cupcakes

Aside from perfecting my deep meditation and concentration during yoga, and besides dancing with my dog and singing into my hairbrush, and writing contemporary romances, I also write children’s stories (PIPPY’S WISH available in E-book Format and Paperback) under the pen name, Maddie Ryan

Below is one of Pippy’s favorite recipes, Pizza Cupcakes.

Angel-in-Training Pippy is quirky, mischievous, lovable and enchanting. She can’t wait to graduate, earn her wings and become a cool teen Angel.

Although she sometimes makes mistakes, her ingenuity and humor usually gets out her out of trouble.

Except this time, it’s gotten her INTO trouble.

Big trouble.

Can Pippy solve this one on her own?

Pippy’s Wish is a fun, inspirational read for all ages.
